This past Thursday, November 21st, the energy was high as two schools faced off in the second wrestling Dual of the season, hosted by Adelanto High School. The competing athletes from Apple Valley High School bussed in some of their best and brightest to face the regions developing talent. The competition featured both boys JV and varsity teams, as well as an exciting girls varsity division. On the boys’ side, the JV wrestlers showcased their developing skills with plenty of fast-paced action and impressive matches that kept the crowd on their feet. Meanwhile, the varsity team bouts were a thrilling display of experience and strategy, with several nail-biting finishes and hard-fought victories. The girls’ varsity matches were equally exciting, as local talent rose to the occasion, demonstrating strength, technique, and determination. With both schools battling it out in several weight classes, the night was an unforgettable event that highlighted the athleticism, sportsmanship, and camaraderie of the wrestling community. I don’t know about you, but I am excited to see how the 2024-2025 wrestling season progresses in the High Desert!
